Jane’s background is book illustration and she has worked for many years with a London agent producing work that rages from cartoon to figurative. She is still illustrating but her own painting is now important too, and a welcome relief from deadlines and briefs.
Again, she finds herself ranging across subject matter and is equally absorbed by abstract images as by ones that ‘tell a story’.
Jane’s paintings are mainly oil on canvas but she also does pastel portrait commissions.
