Angie Greenhalgh

Angie Greenhalgh lives and works in East Devon. Her inspiration comes from working with colour, line, edges and smudges. She has studied Fine Art at Pymouth University. Angie uses a technique called wet on wet inspired by Helen Frankenthaler which involves painting onto a wet canvas with a wet brush and going with the flow of the paint and letting go of strict censure of the process. Angie also uses oil bars which provide a vibrant and textured colour. Mixing acrylic and oil bars together have produced some interesting results in respect of texture and edges. The inspiration for this work has come form the interior landscape of soul, thought and feelings, and the exterior landscapes of sea scapes, sun scapes and the landscape that surround us.
